BibleGateway.com
If you're ever sitting around talking to your friends and you're like, Jesus said this one thing one time that went kind of like this, but I don't remember exactly what he said, but it was pretty sweet, and I'm pretty sure it was in Leviticus... First off, you're super confused and might want to take a deep breath and count to ten. Then, go to BibleGateway.com. At BibleGateway you can search the Bible in over 100 versions and 50 languages. Of course, you'll probably only need English, but hey, who knows!

FollowTheRabbi.com (a.k.a. That the World May Know Ministries)
So, Jesus was Jewish, and not just nominally Jewish or technically Jewish. Jesus kept the Sabbath, ate kosher, celebrated Jewish holidays, read the Hebrew Scriptures, and lived his entire (earthly) life among the Jewish people. Followtherabbi.com has a plethora of resources, lessons, audio files, etc. designed to help familiarize Christians with the geography, culture, and context in which Jesus lived, died, and resurrected.

Life Stuff:
Kiva.org
Several years ago a man named Muhammad Yunus won the Nobel Prize for pioneering the concept of microfinance. In microfinance, people in impoverished countries are given small, interest-free loans to start small businesses that can help support their families and communities. At Kiva.org, you can read about entrepreneurs all over the world, learn about the businesses they hope to start, and choose, personally, who you want to loan your money too. It is a brilliant way to use technology and economic innovation to serve the least of these!!!

Tom's Shoes:
Tom's gives a pair of shoes to a child in need for every pair of shoes they sell. Though it seems trivial, the lack of shoes in underprivileged places in the world is serious business. Without shoes people are remarkably susceptible to cuts and lacerations on their feet, which, without access to medical care, often leads to infection, which leads to a host of other health problems. By buying shoes at Tom's, you can cover your feet and someone else's. It's like BOGO with a purpose!

Book Stuff:
Here are some books (mostly without pictures) we've been reading lately:
A Million Miles in a Thousand Years, Donald Miller
Miller is hilarious, astute, and even wise amidst all his self-deprecation. This book is all about asking the question: What kind of story do I want my life to tell? It is an easy read with funny stories, profound insights, and moments of profound emotion and redemption.
Music Stuff:
